In the heart of Sorrento

Reaching us is very simple with any means of transport!
We are located in Via Marina Grande n°6, Sorrento (NA).

A stone's throw from our B&B Al Mare Sorrento

A stone's throw from our Bed and Breakfast you will find the belvedere of Piazza della Vittoria, from which you can admire the Vesuvius, Ischia and the coast of the Sorrento Peninsula. Many visitors and residents meet here at sunset to be able to photograph the fire red sunsets that the sun gives us in the summer. Immediately nearby, about 200 meters you will find the Villa Comunale of the city, from which you can walk to Piazza dei Marinai or the Port of Sorrento, through a staircase in the rock of the Villa Comunale, or through the elevator service, which leads to the beaches . Here you will also find numerous ferries and hydrofoils covering the routes to: Capri, Ischia, Procida, Naples, Amalfi and Positano.

In the Villa you can sit and relax, and why not sip a coffee or enjoy a good sea view ice cream. Inside you can also walk in a beautiful garden with plants and flowers of various kinds. Just before the entrance of the Villa Comunale is the beautiful cloister of San Francesco, the prayer area of a 14th century monastery, full of plants and flowers, which in summer hosts concerts and other events.

At about 300 meters is Piazza Torquato Tasso, the main square with the statue of St. Anthony in the center, the patron of the city. Once upon a time there stood the main door and the walls that surrounded and protected the city of Sorrento.
Very close is also Marina Grande, the seaside village that can easily be reached on foot via the staircase leading to the Greek gate, used in antiquity to protect the city from the attacks of the Saracens. Once you reach the village you can walk along the seashore, stop for an aperitif or taste the typical dishes of the peninsula in one of the restaurants on the beach. It is also possible to spend a whole day at the beach, given the presence of bathing beaches and info point where you can also book a boat trip and reach Positano and Amalfi.
In the historic center, 5 minutes away from the hotel, it is nice to visit a stretch of the Ancient Walls and the Bastion of Parsano, ancient Roman-medieval walls that defended the city and delimited it from the cultivated gardens around it. they stretched up the hills.
